On November 13, 2023, all brands of N-Acetyl-Carnosine eye drops were pulled of Amazon because the NAC ingredient N-Acetyl-Carnosine is not a permitted active ingredient in the OTC monograph for ophthalmic demulcents and the FDA was displeased with the benefits that were being offered with the use of these kinds of eye drops.
